19 joyful families in West Hertfordshire received the greatest gift ever over Christmas as they celebrated the arrival of their festive babies.
The midwifery team at Watford General Hospital had a busy Christmas period supporting the arrival of 11 babies on Christmas Eve, two on Christmas Day and six on Boxing Day.
The first baby born on Christmas Day was Baby Boy Clark who arrived at 1.08am, weighing 3610g. His proud parents - Bethany and Sam Clark who are from Watford – were overjoyed with his arrival.
Baby Boy Eversham followed soon after, born at 2.08am and weighing 3774g to parents Anna and Jonathan Eversham from St Albans.
Penny Snowden, Director of Midwifery, said: “It was wonderful to see so many parents welcome their newborns over Christmas, and we extend our congratulations to them all.
"A massive thanks to our maternity staff who worked over the festive period to safely bring the babies into the world, as they do all year round.”
