Research at West Herts
Clinical research is at the heart of the NHS and an everyday part of the our work at West Herts.
We know a great deal about health, disease and medicines, but there is still a lot we don’t understand. Research can help fill gaps in medical knowledge and find answers to the things we don’t know to provide better care for our patients in the future.
Research Delivery Network
The Research Delivery Network (RDN) is funded by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to enable the health and care system to attract, optimise and deliver research across England.
We consist of 12 Regional Research Delivery Networks (RRDNs) and a Coordinating Centre (RDNCC), working together as one organisation with joint leadership.
