Hearing aid repairs
The tubing in your hearing aid should be replaced every four to six months. Your hearing aid may stop working effectively if this is not done.
Please note, we do not offer any walk-in clinics for hearing aid repairs. We offer a postal service or you can use our drop-off and collection boxes.
Postal repairs
If your hearing aid has an issue and you'd like us to repair it, you can post it to us.
Please post your hearing aid, along with the brown book and a note describing the nature of the problem to one of the addresses below.
You must include a stamped addressed envelope so we can return it to you. Postage must be a LARGE 1st or LARGE 2nd class stamp.
Please post to either of the below addresses:
- Audiology Department, Watford General Hospital, Vicarage Road, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD18 0HB.
- Audiology Department, St Albans City Hospital, Waverley Road, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL3 5PN.
Drop-off and collection boxes
To use our drop-off and collection service, please drop off your hearing aids in an envelope with your full name, address, date of birth, phone number and a description of the fault to our drop-off box during the opening times below.
Your hearing aid can be collected during our collection times only. We aim to have your hearing aids ready to collect on the same day they were dropped off or posted back to you if requested (A LARGE 1st or LARGE 2nd class stamp must be provided).
Please note, there is a charge for lost or damaged hearing aids. Unfortunately, this charge also applies to 'abused' hearing aids e.g., chewed by the dog or cat.
