Biography

Dr Dipa Jayaseelan is a Consultant Neurologist based in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. She sees patients in both general neurology and specialist neuromuscular and transition clinics.

Dr Jayaseelan qualified in 2005 from the Royal Free and University College Medical School with a distinction in clinical practice and did her undergraduate studies at Cambridge University with an MA in Neurosciences. She has a PhD from the UCL Institute of Neurology in Neuromuscular disease. She currently co-leads the Highly Specialist Services for muscle channelopathies. She is an Honorary Lecturer at UCL, where she is actively researching genetic neuromuscular conditions and is Principal Investigator and Co-investigator for a number of research studies at UCL. She has published over 40 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters in neuromuscular diseases and neurological complications of coronavirus. She also sits on the Royal College of Physicians examining board for Neurology and is an MSc lecturer for the UCL Clinical Neurosciences MSc course.
