Biography

Lakshay is an Emergency Medicine Consultant with a strong penchant for teaching and medical education. After graduating from medical school in Pondicherry (India) in 2011, he pursued MRCEM while working as an EM Registrar. Subsequently, he became a Fellow of the Academic College of Emergency Experts, India. He promptly fled India to explore EM training pathways in the UK. After spending a couple of years in Northwest London and grasping what the NHS looks like, he relocated to Scotland and pursued higher training in Edinburgh, South East Scotland Deanery. He is a provider of ALS and EPALS and an ATLS Instructor.

He loves finding the ‘teaching moments’ and sharing educational snippets at work. In his spare time, he genuinely attempts to be less of a nuisance to his beloved wife and assures people that vegan food does not always suck! Currently, he is vehemently trying to rejuvenate his lost chess and cricketing skills with his 6-year-old son.
