Biography
Dr Kostoula graduated Medical School with Merit. She completed her postgraduate Core Medical Training in the East of England Deanery. She completed her Higher Specialty Training -Diabetes and Endocrinology with dual accreditation in General Internal Medicine- in the prestigious Northwest Thames rotation of the London Deanery. Dr Kostoula has been a Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist in West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals since 2019.
Dr Kostoula provides the following Clinics: General Endocrine Clinic, Community Diabetes Clinic, Young Adult Diabetes Clinic, Adolescent Diabetes Transition Clinic, Antenatal Endocrine Clinic. Dr Kostoula has a special interest in endocrine disorders during pregnancy and in the management of diabetes in young adults.
Leadership roles held by Dr Kostoula (past and present): Lead of the Young Adult Diabetes Service, Education Lead in Diabetes and Endocrinology, Departmental Rota Lead.
Dr Kostoula has authored a number of peer-reviewed articles. She has presented at national and international conferences and professional meetings. Dr Kostoula is a member of several professional bodies in her specialty.
Dr Kostoula is an active educator and enjoys teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She is a certified Clinical and Educational Supervisor to doctors in training of all grades.
