Biography

I qualified in 2000 with distinctions from Guy's and St. Thomas' Medical School, eventually specialising in cardiology, having been trained at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust on the prestigious North West Thames Cardiology rotation, which included training at West Herts as a junior doctor. I have been a consultant cardiologist for over 10 years.

I have been the Lead for Cardiology at West Herts since 2020 and more recently appointed joint Clinical Director for Interventional Medicine. I am also an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer with Imperial College and still maintain sessions at Imperial College Healthcare, Hammersmith Hospital.

Whilst trained in all aspects of general cardiology, my specialist field is in Heart Rhythm management, including the investigation and treatment of all heart rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation(AF)/flutter, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and ventricular tachycardia (VT). I regularly perform procedures such as catheter ablation and implantation of cardiac devices eg pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiac resynchronisation, left atrial appendage occluders.
