Biography
Dr Mahdi is a respiratory physician with extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of respiratory conditions. A graduate of the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2015, she has developed a strong clinical focus on lung cancer and Interstitial Lung Disease, reflecting a dedication to complex and multi-disciplinary care.
Dr Mahdi is involved in the early detection and diagnosis of lung cancer, including working in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver cancer care. Her work in interstitial lung disease encompasses managing conditions such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), connective tissue disease-associated ILD, and hypersensitivity pneumonitis, emphasising a patient-centred approach and holistic treatment strategies.
Qualificaitons: Medical Degree (MBChB): University of Birmingham, 2015
Postgraduate training in respiratory medicine in the East of England deanery.
