Biography
Dr Fofaria completed his training in the North West Thames Deanery, London rotating through several tertiary institutions including Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Imperial College Hospitals and the renowned St Mark's Hospital.
He has previously taken time out of training to undertake clinical and quality improvement work in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at St Mark's Hospital and has published and presented research in these areas.
He has also completed an advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at the Wolfson Unit, St Mark's Hospital under Prof Saunders, Prof Thomas-Gibson and Dr Suzuki and was later awarded the Gastroenterology Trainee of the Year Prize.
Within the Trust, Dr Fofaria is currently the clinical lead for nutrition, two-week assessment service (TAS) and the outpatient clinical lead.
