Biography
Mr Ade Sanusi (full name Fatai Adegboyega Sanusi) MBBS, FRCOG, with an Advanced Diploma in Obstetric Ultrasound is an experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and accredited BSCCP Colposcopist, practicing at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust since 2000, which encompasses Watford General Hospital, St Albans City Hospital and Hemel Hempstead General Hospital.
He has held the post in the past of Clinical Director for Gynaecology, College Tutor and Training Director at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust and has been the Trust Lead Colposcopist and Lead Colposcopist at St Albans City Hospital. He has also held the post of Cervical Screening Provider Lead.
He treats a wide range of Gynaecological conditions and specialises in the investigation and treatment of abnormal cervical smears, CIN, high risk HPV, vaginal bleeding after sex (PCB), post menopausal bleeding and pelvic pain. He is also very proficient in laparoscopic surgery.
He trained as a SHO in Pontefract and Dewsbury Hospitals and then became a Registrar at Barnet and Edgware General Hospitals. There he was able to acquire broad experience in general gynaecology and obstetrics including Colposcopy and menopausal problems. Following this period, he then became a Senior Specialist Registrar at St George's Hospital, London.
He continued to carry out colposcopy, treat endometriosis and perform prolapse surgery. At St George’s Hospital, London he gained the Advanced Diploma in Obstetric Ultrasound under Professor Campbell. After 18 months he moved to Frimley Park Hospital and in November 2000 became Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
