Biography
Initial training in India. Moved to UK in 2005 and trained in vascular surgery at Royal Free Hospital, London. Joined West Herts in 2014 as consultant general surgeon.
Currently, providing service in acute & elective general, vascular, paediatric and endocrine surgery. I am currently the paediatric and diabetic foot surgical lead for West Herts. I am also an active member of various committees, including Thrombosis/anticoagulation, Mortality review, Trauma, etc. I am a trust staff appraiser.
I am actively involved in teaching. I currently hold the position of undergraduate surgical lead for UCL medical school at West Herts. I teach and assess vascular trainees of London & KSS deanery at Surgical Skills Lab, Imperial Medical School. I am an ATLS instructor. I train surgical trainees at various levels at West Herts and an educational and clinical supervisor.
I am also actively involved in research and guide my teams to perform, present and publish audits & review of clinical work. As part of various teams, I help in drafting and reviewing various protocols and guidelines at the trust.
