Biography
Mr Shaikh obtained his medical degree from the University of Manchester and carried out his basic surgical training at The Royal London, St Bartholomew’s and University College London Hospitals.
He pursued higher surgical training in Urology within the London deanery and spent his final year sub-specialising in Endourology and Stone disease at Charing Cross Hospital. He was initially employed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Imperial College Healthcare and has been working at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for years. He has held the post of Clinical Governance Lead and Urology Cancer lead during this time. He has been leading the Urology
department for 3 years and also leads the Kidney stone service at the trust. He is also the Urology Clinical lead for the Herts and West Essex ICB.
