Watford General Hospital – Please enter the Main Block via the entrance signed Outpatients; it’s on the left before you reach the main entrance as you approach from the car park, or on the right just past the main entrance if you’re coming from Vicarage Road.
If you are visiting a patient on a surgical ward, enter via the main entrance. Turn left past reception and take a lift to level 5.

How to cancel your surgery
If you are unable to attend your planned surgery within 72 hours of your admission date, please let us know as soon as possible by calling 07391 010419.
Make sure you have the following information to hand when calling:
- Your NHS Number
- The date of your planned surgery
- The surgeon or clinician you’re being seen by
- Specialty or department
This phone line is open 24 hours a day for cancelling planned operations only. For any other queries relating to your surgery, please contact the admissions team directly.
Please remember to cancel any other arrangements you made connected to your appointment (blood tests, carers, social services, etc.)
If you booked patient transport with the East of England Ambulance Service, please cancel by calling 03456 051 208.
