Our outpatient physiotherapy service is based at the West Hertfordshire Therapy Unit in Abbots Langley.
Our experienced team of physiotherapists, each with speciality areas of expertise, offer assessments and treatments for a wide range of musculoskeletal and pelvic health conditions to help patients get back to normal activities as soon as possible.
We can help assess and treat a wide range of conditions.
The class space is well ventilated. The equipment used will be cleaned prior to the class and cleaning wipes will be provided during the class to ensure the stations are cleaned between patient use.
We offer patients 6 classes but please contact the outpatient physiotherapy department at least 24 hours prior to your class if you are unable to attend. Any classes that you do not attend, including any that you cancel, may still count as one of your sessions.
This is subject to the class physiotherapist’s discretion and failure to attend a class without prior notice will result in you being discharged from our service.

Exercise therapy is crucial to aid recovery from injury or illness and we offer a wide range of equipment and resources to enable you to reach your potential and return to your normal activities.
Our facilities include a large, spacious gym with exercise bikes, treadmill, stepper, leg press, plyometric boxes and weights benches as well as parallel bars for gait re-education.
Using our online exercise prescription software, we are able to consolidate your treatment sessions with a tailored home exercise programme which includes videos and instructions on how to continue your recovery at home.
We offer electrotherapy devices such as ultrasound, pulsed shortwave diathermy and TENS as well as acupuncture.
We have private consultation rooms and specialist women’s health treatment rooms with access to biofeedback: a type of therapy that uses sensors attached to your body to measure key body functions.
We have a range of exercise videos available. Your physiotherapist will let you know which exercises to do.
